It's cc weekend over at UKS and the theme is murder and mystery... ooh, scary! I've been joining in as I can in a fairly relaxed way and have done a few layouts, mostly from family hols in summer 07 down in Yorkshire. There's been a few new things for me like printing out the journalling title and the watercolour frames so good fun all round.
Well I don't know what the UKS party cyber crop did to me, but it's taken ages to recover and get back onto blogger .... I guess I did have to go away for work for a bit though I suppose. But I had great fun one weekend as my mum and sister came to my flat for the weekend and we set up the dining table, brought out the stash, bought in the choccie and champagne and chinese food when necessary, and had a great time! So here's a few shots featuring my wee crop creature with the party bags he made for his pals!
And here's some of the los I managed - the first one was using up scraps from the Banana Frog kit, and the others all followed the cc classes.
It's a gorgeous May day here, in believe it or not, sunny Scotland. May is often one of the best months. Maybe it's not really but just seems that way after the dark winter, but it certainly cheers everyone up. Apart from all the students and school kids of course, who are sitting their exams soon, and have to do it in lovely sunny weather. 
Well the tea party's over now at UKS, and though I only got 2 layouts done during it, I did enjoy it, and will be doing some of the other classes in my own time over the next wee whiley. This was one of the challenges to do something relating to grins, a la Cheshire Cat. So here's a photo of my sis which she foolishly let me have!! I like this cos it was quick and it feels bright and sunny. The paper is Imagination Project.

I managed one class layout last night, though I hadn't prepared the stuff you were meant to have, paper doilies etc, so I kind of improvised. I like this idea of painting over a mask/stencil though so may just need to track down some doilies and give it a go. Mine is a lot messier than the original class, but I had this kind of fuzzy picture which needed something to take away from the fuzziness so I thought this might work (it was also late and I was quite sleep deprived!)
